16/365 - From Once Upon a Parent, I found Pink and Green Mama. First of all, pink and green are my absolute favorite colors. Second, she is from Northern Virginia and (OMG!) I used to live in Northern Virginia. The only thing that would make this crazier is if her name was Michelle (be right back, double checking). Nope, Marylea! Anywho, she has to be one of the craftiest people I've ever seen blog. Seriously, go look. She has things like ... oh seriously just go look. I can't name all the cute, crafty and colorful things you'll find. There is SURE to be an idea for you to do with (or for) your own children.
15/365 - From which name?, I found Once Upon a Parent. This blog by Annie reminds me a bit of mine. I love her title (I'm often astounded by how creative people are!). She's got a few great recipes on recent posts and she takes some great photos. I found Annie's blog from her comments on Nicola's. I'm not sure what draws me to the blogs I choose to list but there seems to be a simplicity to most. I think that's just the way I like to be.
14/365 - From Miles to Go Before I Sleep, I found which name?. I really like her 'tagline' - creatively living lightly on less. I feel like that perfectly sums up this blog written by Nicola. I REALLY admire creative and crafty people because really I am neither of those (although photography is making me much more creative than I've ever been). It's a side of me I'm happy to see growing. I hope it continues into other areas of my life and I think Nicola is someone I'm going to learn from. Please read this post of hers about her year of not buying anything new - you'll be happy you did.
12/365 - From Malodorous Messes, I found I'm a Flawed Mom. This blog by Tesi is really just a journal about her family. She has three gorgeous children and her little girl sounds a lot like my Hope. I loved her Christmas post but her Happy New Year post really touched me and brought tears to my eyes. I love it when people are grateful and happy and she is clearly both.
11/365 - From Life with Ana Kate, I found Malodorous Messes. First of all, the most original name - EVER! Love it! Not sure of this blogger's name (I think it's Michelle). I'm really amazed at the number of blogger's who have done foreign adoptions. I'm seeing them all over the place - I love it! Michelle documented her journey in adopting her cutie, Oscar and is working on adopting a sister for him. She's got great stories of her journey and her day to day as she handles Oscar being a full blown toddler; something I can definitely relate to!
10/365 - From There's Always Room for One More, I found Life with Ana Kate. I stopped at Candace's blog because I could tell she is also doing a 365 project. By stopping in, I found out she also appears to be a fan of one of my favorite sites (http://iheartfaces.blogspot.com/) . Small world, huh? Candace's blog started out documenting her adoption journey but has turned in a daily journal. She appears to be a photography buff like me so there will be plenty of beautiful photos for you to look at. Go stop by and say hi!
9/365 - From The Way it is, I found There's Always Room for One More. Denise's about me really says it all "single mother to 6 kids, cook, taxi driver, friend, merriment maker, lover of LOST, writer. You never know which one you'll run into." Actually, there's so much more. Her post today was about a giveaway and I almost skipped the blog over for another but decided to go a bit deeper. I'm so glad I did. I related to her experience with watching her husband die (the same thing happened with my mother when I was 22). I related to her adoption story (my best friend was adopted and I am close friends with a couple who adopted from China); I just related to her. She recently finished a book (can't relate to that at all) and seems like an amazingly resilient and strong person. Please read her blog, you'll be happy you did.
8/365 - From Shut the Front Door, I found The Way it is. Kristin is a stay at home mom to 4 (4!) boys. I love the journalistic feel to her blog. She pretty much writes about her day to day and is a very normal mom - I love it! Her boys are amazingly adorable and I would stop by there just to see them, but her posts are interesting too!
7/365 - From Screaming for Chocolate, I found Shut the Front Door. I'm posting Denise's blog because she's recently returned to blogging and I wanted to help her a bit. Please take a look at her speech, I think that's all you'll need to get an idea of her 'story'. She has a 3 year old niece who really reminds me of my own daughter (I think they all have 'attitudes' hehehe). I look forward to seeing her get back into blogging!
6/365 - From Angry Chicken , I found Screaming for Chocolate. I probably stopped here and decided to read because I'm one of millions who are on a weight loss kick in the new year and the 'chocolate' screamed at me. I loved reading 'Coco's (not sure if that is her real name) About Me. She's a mom and grandma (beautiful family!) and works from home. I loved reading about her dogs and was saddened to see she'd recently lost a job.
5/365 - From Stepping Off the Spaceship, I found Angry Chicken. (How could I stop at any other blog?!) This blog written by Amy is a fantastic place for anyone who aspires to be a better cook, sewer, parent, etc etc. She's a creative genius! Published author, college educated, fantastically creative, she's a lot of fun! Her site made me hungry (lots of food photos) so I'm off to eat breakfast. Please check her site out - she doesn't really need my help but I'm happy I found her!
4/365 - From Tact is for..., I found Stepping Off the Spaceship. This blog written by Reiza immediately resonated with me partially due to the fact that she is a former military spouse. One thing that struck me about her blog is the diversity in her posts. It really has something for everyone! Take a moment and check her out, if you haven't already!
3/365 - From the Blogging Mum, I found Tact is for people who aren't witty enough to be sarcastic. If you haven't stopped by this blog written by Heather, please go now. It's hilarious! This mom from Utah knows how to write like it's nobodies business. Her last post has to do with snuggies, running shoes and earbuds. How's that for variety??
2/365 - I just had to pick the Blogging Mum for day two. She's someone. I've known her for more than three years now and we've never met in person. Melanie is a fantastic writer and photographer and her blog is often updated with posts of deep self discovery and or rediscovery. We have children who are the same age and arguably the cutest (and most photographed) on the planet.
1/365 - Photography by Michelle Hires Stay at home mom and aspiring photographer. My blog will be a mix of personal and professional posts until I figure things out some more.
