I had a great first semester at AAU and I'm looking forward to classes beginning again on February 1st. Here are some of my favorite photos from last semester.

I love them all! Such beautiful photos! I especially love the last 2 and the one of the soldier...breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog. My new camera is a Nikon D700. It may be a bit much for me now...but I think I'll grow into it.
I have a question for you as well...what do you think about shooting in RAW? I have done that before, but switched back to JPEG...so I would be interested in your input. I feel like it probably didn't make a lot of difference with my old camera, but it might with the new one. I've heard varying opinions, so I'm curious what you think.
Thanks,
Candace
Awesome Candace! I have the D300 and it felt like too much for me at first but now I couldn't imagine having anything else in my hands. My dream camera is now a Nikon D3 - I can't wait to be able to afford that! Someday...
ReplyDeleteI shoot my 'shoots' in RAW but if I'm doing my own shots (family, friends, etc) I shoot them in the highest quality JPEG my camera offers. Too many RAW files are memory hogs and converting them is an extra step just not worth it for casual shots (in my opinion). I haven't had any official paying clients but when I do those, they will be in JPEG and RAW. The RAW files will be by master and the JPEG will be my working files.
